After the events celebrated in Paris (France), Sharm El-Sheikh (Egypt), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Dubai (UAE), Salzburg (Austria) and Rabat (Morocco), the Karate 1-Premier League resumes its action in less than two weeks in Istanbul. The wait is finally over for Karate fans worldwide, as emotions and joy for the Karate family in the historic summer period continues with the anticipated tournament in the Turkish city.

One of the traditional venues of Karate 1-Premier League, the tournament in Istanbul will capture the attention of Karate fans from September 6-7. While the registration is still open, more than 400 athletes from 46 countries have already confirmed their participation in the event.

The tournament to be held in Istanbul will also represent the first chapter of a thrilling month for Karate, as three Karate 1-Premier League events will be celebrated in September. One week after the tournament in Istanbul, top Karatekas will travel to Fortaleza (Brazil) for the eight competition of the season, and Hamburg (Germany) will host the second to last Karate 1-Premier League tournament of the year from September 24-25. The city of Okinawa in Japan will put a golden finishing touch to the sensational season of Karate 1-Premier League events from October, 1-2.

The host nation of Turkey topped the final standings of the 2015 Karate 1-Premier League tournament in Istanbul with a tally of 21 medals. FYR of Macedonia and Egypt took the second position of the medal table with three medals for each delegation in a spectacular demostration of high-class Karate to be repeated in less than two weeks.
