The Karate1 Paris 2016 tournament began with male and female kata competitions and kata team today at the Coubertin stadium with 179 competitors in kata and 18 teams.
The participation in kata karate shows the enthusiasm of the world to come to France to confront this first international tournament WKF.

For now, athletes selected for Sunday's finals are:
- Male kata: KIYUNA RYO (JPN) vs SHIMBABA ISSEI (JPN)
- Female Kata: IWAMOTO EMIRI (JPN) vs SHIMIZU KIYOU (JPN)
- Team Male Kata: France vs Germany
- Team Female Kata: France vs Italy
Finals in live
For the first time, the finals of Karate 1 – Premier League event – live through the WKF Channel, on Sunday, 24th January 2016 from 15:00 to 17:30 hours. The best competitors in the world, in all individual categories (Kata and Kumite), together with the Team Kata at the Premier League in Paris!!!
