Two tatami brands join WKF Homologated Items

The list of Tatami brands that are d in WKF Homologated Items has been extended with the inclusion of new producers that offer the surface for the practice of Karate according to the criteria of the international governing body of the sport.

With the security of competitors in mind, two new brands have been d to a total of four: Progame by Trocellen, Wesing, Tatamix and TaiShan.

ProGame Tatami by Trocellen has been homologated since 2008, while Wesing also formed part of the official list for a few years now. The two last brands to be d are Tatamix and TaiShan.

With main offices in Italy, Tatamix offers tatamis of 2cm thick, 100cm x 100cm and density of 110 kg/M3, a weight of 2,2 kg and cross-linked polyethylene foam material.  

Meanwhile, TaiShan has main offices in China and presents tatamis of 1000 x1000 x 20mm size, density of 100kg/m³, weight of 2.1kg and hardness of 60°±3

The characteristics of ProGame by Trocellen are Density of 100kg/m3, high precision puzzle cut, Rice straw embossing, crosslinked closed cell monodensity PE and Laser printed WKF logo and ProGame Tatami by Trocellen references

The characteristics of Wesing tatamis are Cross-linked polyethylene, size of 100cm x 100cm, thickness of 2cm, density of 100kg/M3, weight of 2,2kg and hardness of 50º - 55º

All the homologated tatamis aim at protecting the security of competitors both in Kata and Kumite.
