The 12^th Senior Asian Championships and 13^th Junior and Cadet Asian Championships took place jointly in Dubai (UAE) from the 3^rd to the 6^thDecember.

The 12^th Senior Asian Championships and 13^th Junior and Cadet Asian Championships took place jointly in Dubai (UAE) from the 3^rd to the 6^th December. The participation was of 29 National Federations, from which 23 took at least 1 medal. The Championships were perfectly organized by the UAE Karate Federation and we want to congratulate its President Major General Nasser Al Razooqi, also a WKF Vice-President, and the whole team that under his authority contributed to this successful organization.

The Opening Ceremony was honoured with the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohamed Al Maktoun, also accompanied by high personalities of the Dubai and the UAE society.

Also the President of the WKF Antonio Espinós attended the event and was present in the Congress of the AKF that took place on Monday the 2^nd of December. The competitions were held in the Sheikh Hamdan Stadium,  a state of the art multipurpose sports complex, and that also contributed to make this event a top level and category one.
