The 5th East Asian Karate Federation (EAKF) Senior and 4th EAKF Junior & Cadet Karate Championships were held on 6th and 7th June in Hong Kong China.

The 5th East Asian Karate Federation (EAKF) Senior and 4th EAKF Junior & Cadet Karate Championships were held on 6th and 7th June in Hong Kong China. Athletes from 6 NFs (China, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau and Chinese Taipei) competed in 39 categories and all events were competed successfully by a great preparation of the Hong Kong Karate Federation and the organizing committee.

It should be highlighted that all participants shared the slogan "KARATE INTO THE OLYMPICS" through this event. During the opening ceremony, VIP guests pricked colorful balloons wishing Karate to be in the Olympic Games. Now all Karateka in East Asian countries look forward to the year 2020. 

Next year this event will be held in Chinese Taipei.
