The World Karate Federation completed historic meetings this week in Paris where fruitful discussions were held concerning the creation of real value for the sport by maximizing the promotion of Karate around the world. 

The World Karate Federation completed historic meetings this week in Paris where fruitful discussions were held concerning the creation of real value for the sport by maximizing the promotion of Karate around the world. 

WKF President Antonio Espinós chaired the meetings which took place this week at the headquarters of the French Karate Federation in Paris. The WKF Executive Bureau, that was joined by the members of the WKF Executive Committee present for other meetings in Paris and different commissions of the World Karate Federation gathered to discuss ways to further develop Karate.  

During the meetings, different reports were presented as WKF stakeholders emphasised the importance of improving the quality of the sport’s product to ensure the highest level of fan engagement.  

“The meetings in Paris were very productive, and I want to thank the French Karate Federation and WKF Vice President Francis Didier for welcoming us in Paris. The decisions which were taken here constitute important steps forward in our desire to optimise the progress of Karate around the world. These decisions will help us in setting Karate in the right direction ahead of the many challenges and opportunities that we have in front of us,” said WKF President Antonio Espinós.
