On Wednesday, 18^th December the annual Gala of the Spanish Olympic Committee took place. The event was honoured with the presence of the Spanish Crown Prince, HRH the  Prince of Asturias.

On Wednesday, 18^th December the annual Gala of the Spanish Olympic Committee took place. The event was honoured with the presence of the Spanish Crown Prince, HRH the  Prince of Asturias, as well as of  Mr. Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee. Prince Felipe received the Olympic Gold Order of the Spanish NOC by its President Alejandro Blanco in recognition of the contribution to sport in Spain. Between other distinguished attendees were IOC members Marisol Casado, Julio Maglione, J.A. Samaranch Jr and Jose Perurena, the NOC Presidents from Andorra, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, and many other high representatives from the world of sport and from the Spanish society and sport family. The WKF President Antonio Espinós was also present, in his condition as Spanish NOC member since 1984.
