WKF announces new list of qualified athletes for ANOC World Beach Games

The World Karate Federation has published an extended list of qualified athletes for the ANOC World Beach Games San Diego 2019. New names have been added up to the line-up of karatekas after the Karate World Championships which were held in Madrid in November. 

The World Karate Federation has published an extended list of qualified athletes for the ANOC World Beach Games San Diego 2019. New names have been added up to the line-up of karatekas after the Karate World Championships which were held in Madrid in November. 

No less than 28 athletes from 20 countries have earned the ticket to participate in the anticipated event. The Karate competition of the ANOC World Beach Games will take place in San Diego from October 10 to 11.  

The list of competitors to represent Karate at the ANOC World Beach Games is headed by the newly-proclaimed Kata World champions. Ryo Kiyuna of Japan and Sandra Sanchez of Spain won the World crown after their impressive demonstrations in the World Championships in Madrid. 

The runners-up in Karate’s biggest tournament, Damian Quintero of Spain and Kiyou Shimizu of Japan will also participate in San Diego. Two-time World title-holder Antonio Diaz of Venezuela, rising star Grace Lau Mo Sheung of Hong Kong and two-time World Championships bronze medallist Viviana Bottaro of Italy are also among the qualified athletes to take part in ANOC World Beach Games San Diego 2019.
