WKF President leads meeting to outline Karate 1 Premier League Dubai


The WKF President Antonio Espinós completed a far-reaching meeting in Dubai where top officials discussed the progress ahead of the 2017 edition of the Karate 1-Premier League in the Emirate city. 

Mr. Espinós met with WKF Vice-President Nasser Al Razooqi, accompanied by the president of the Yemen Karate Federation Mukhtar Saif, WKF Technical Commission member Mohamed Abbas, and the Chairman of the WKF Protocol Commission Alaa Halawish. 

The preparations for the Karate 1- Premier League tournament to be held from March 31-April 3 in Dubai were addressed, including the meetings to be conducted in the Emirate city in association with the event. As it was decided in Linz (Austria) during the recent 2016 Karate World Championships, the first Executive Committee meeting ever between World Championships will take place in Dubai, as well as other gatherings of different WKF Commissions.

In addition to the groundwork leading to the 2017 Karate 1-Premier League in Dubai, the activities regarding the new WKF Protocol Commission which was created in Linz (Austria) and which is chaired by Professor Alaa Halawish were also discussed. Other crucial matters were debated in the meeting in order to anticipate the hectic and thrilling New Year, the first new Olympic Year for Karate and for the WKF.
