Japan will organise for the first time in its history a WKF Premier League and decided to host it in the birthplace of Karate, Okinawa.

The whole Karate family has been expecting it for a long time, and will be more than keen to explore the roots of our Martial art at this occasion.
As a proof of the high expectations, almost 350 participants have already registered, a record for a first Karate 1 edition. Even more significant is that athletes from 65 nations will take part of the competition and will, for most of them, discover the country of karate for the first time.

Additionally, this Premier League event in Okinawa comes only two months before the World Senior Championships in Bremen, Germany, and will then represent an important competition for some national teams, such as Japan, Turkey, France, … that will be represented by some of their best competitors.  We can expect a high level of karate during all the competition.

The Competition will open in Okinawa on August 30, 2014. The Venue will be the Okinawa Prefectural Hall of Martial Arts.
