WKF President Antonio Espinós welcomed WKF Athletes Commission chairman and WKF Executive Committee member Davide Benetello at the World Karate Federation headquarters in Madrid on Monday to analyse the current situation of the sport.

The working meeting took place at the new main office of the international governing body of the sport, and it had the continued development and modernization of the discipline as key themes of the encounter.

Among other topics, Mr. Espinós and Mr. Benetello reviewed the agenda of the forthcoming meetings scheduled in Paris on Friday and Saturday. The anticipated 2017 edition of the Karate 1-Premier League in Paris was also discussed, as well as the different and upcoming initiatives to be taken by the WKF Athletes Commission.
