Jose Garcia Maañon elected as Vice-President of Argentinian Olympic Committee

WKF First Vice-President and Pan American Karate Federation President Jose Garcia Maañon was elected as second Vice-President of the Argentinian Olympic Committee. The election took place at the special session for designation of authorities that the Argentinian Olympic Committee celebrated on Friday, and it determined that Mr. Garcia Maañon will act as second Vice-President of the sport organisation of the South American country for the period 2017-2021. 

WKF First Vice-President and Pan American Karate Federation President Jose Garcia Maañon was elected as second Vice-President of the Argentinian Olympic Committee. The election took place at the special session for designation of authorities that the Argentinian Olympic Committee celebrated on Friday, and it determined that Mr. Garcia Maañon will act as second Vice-President of the sport organisation of the South American country for the period 2017-2021. 

The 51 national sports federations that were present in the special session gave support to Mr. Garcia Maañon for the key management position. The WKF First Vice President who also leads the Argentinian Karate Federation was first appointed as a member of the Argentina Olympic Committee in 1997 and has held many governing roles in his home country and in Karate. 

The Pan American Karate Federation President currently is the National Sports Director and is one of the forerunners of the progress of sports and Karate in South America. The 8th-Dan black belt was the first national champion in 1968 and South American champion for the period 1972-1981.
