WKF General Secretary represents Karate at Commonwealth Games

WKF General Secretary Toshihisa Nagura was in Australia this past week to represent Karate at the 21st Commonwealth Games Gold Coast 2018. The WKF official attended the opening ceremony and had several high-profile meetings with sports authorities there. 

WKF General Secretary Toshihisa Nagura was in Australia this past week to represent Karate at the 21st Commonwealth Games Gold Coast 2018. The WKF official attended the opening ceremony and had several high-profile meetings with sports authorities there. 

The 2018 Commonwealth Games are currently being held on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Over 6000 athletes and officials from 71 nations are participating at the event which includes 26 modalities in the sports programme. The opening ceremony was held at the Carrara Stadium in the Gold Coast, Australia. Prince Charles declared open the Games at the ceremony which had Mr. Nagura as an attendee. 

WKF General Secretary followed different sports events during his visit in Gold Coast 2018 and had the opportunity of interacting with several sports officials at the event. Mr. Nagura was accompanied at some of the significant meetings during his visit by the president of the Oceania Karate Federation Michael Kassis and the General Secretary of the Oceania Karate Federation Leo Donnelly.
