A delegation of the World Karate Federation visited the IOC headquarters in Lausanne on Thursday to meet the head of the Athletes Entourage Commission of the International Olympic Committee. The meeting aimed at strengthening the bonds between the two organisations. 

A delegation of the World Karate Federation visited the IOC headquarters in Lausanne on Thursday to meet the head of the Athletes Entourage Commission of the International Olympic Committee. The meeting aimed at strengthening the bonds between the two organisations. 

WKF Athletes’ Entourage Commission Chairman Souleymane Gaye and WKF Athletes Commission Chairman Davide Benetello represented the international governing body of the sport at the meeting in Lausanne. The two WKF representatives were welcomed by IOC Athletes’ Entourage Commission Chairman Sergey Bubka, with IOC Head of Athlete Programmes Sport Department Kaveh Mehrabi also in attendance. 

Mr. Gaye and Mr. Benetello thanked Mr. Bubka for his hospitality and agreed on the intention of working together, thus building a fruitful cooperation in order to support and protect athletes and their entourage.
